2015 Walk To End Alzheimer’s

On August 29th, we took part in the Walk To End Alzheimer’s for the second year in a row.  All 5 of us were there to assist as “Course Marshals” again.  They placed us in different locations than we were placed last year.  Although we didn’t get to waive at the motorists like we did last year because of our location, we still enjoyed ourselves.  Here are a few photos that we have to share:

It was hot and a little rainy that day because of the three hurricanes out in the pacific.  And a beautiful rainbow presented itself in the sky…

Much thanks to Uncle Dennis Fujimoto for including us in his “Happy Camper” in the Garden Island Newspaper:

Baking Party Sleepover 2015

On August 21st, we held our second baking party sleepover.  This time, only three of us were able to make it.

We met at our troop leaders house at 7:30pm and baked for about 5 hours up till about 12:30am.

Of course, amongst all the serious work, we did have fun too.  With music playing, dancers will be dancers.  However, this is what we ended up with:

All bagged up….

We’d say it definitely was a productive night.

2014 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

On August 23, 2014, we volunteered our time as “Course Marshals” for the 2014 Walk to End Alzheimer’s by holding signs and flowers which directed the walkers on their two-mile course around Kukui Grove Shopping Center. At the end of the walk, we anxiously questioned when we were going to volunteer again because we had a lot of fun!
